When my dear friends Aviva & Ryan got engaged, I immediately offered to photograph their wedding. As my friend and muse, documenting Aviva’s wedding day was the honor of a lifetime and also gave me an excuse to pull out all my favorite cameras for the weekend. This is my love letter to my two friends in love, photographing more slowly (it’s mostly medium and large format film this time around!), and a testament that a wedding day rooted in being present and comprised of thoughtful, DIY details is the best kind of wedding.
